About Erchomai (er’-kō-mye) Counseling and Coaching
The Greek word Erchomai (er’-kō-mye ) means to come, to come into being, and to be established.
Jill and Steve help people to be established in three areas:
Identity
Overcoming painful experiences and establishing healthy relationship boundaries, positive attitudes and effective behaviors
Purpose
Expanding self-awareness and confidence, strengthening skills and abilities, and building vision, goals and plans
God’s Word
Gaining a solid understanding of Whose you are, who you are, and what you are meant to do through the knowledge and application of His Word
What We Believe
-
God’s Word is “God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness” – 2 Timothy 3:16
-
Biblical Wholeness is available because Jesus was anointed and sent “to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free.” – Luke 4:18
-
Marriage, Family and Community are crucial parts of our lives here on earth. They are also where the “rubber meets the road” in terms of difficulties, challenges and adversity (to put it mildly)
-
You were created for a Purpose that is yours and yours alone. It is not a “one thing” that destroys your life if you get it wrong, but a meaning-full thread that gives motivation, direction and energy to everything you do. A thread that can be discovered, strengthened and enjoyed
How We Work
-
With Prayer and God’s Word – we believe the Holy Spirit and God’s Word bring the insight and revelation to what you need and the power and direction to move you forward
-
With Transparency and Life Experience – we have been where you are; we almost lost our marriage, we’ve been through multiple career collapses, we’ve raised two adult children, we know life is hard!
-
With Longer Sessions – our counseling and coaching sessions are 75 to 90 minutes, which is double the industry norm
-
And through Writing, Speaking and Teaching – in addition to individual and couples counseling and coaching, we also write books and blogs, speak at churches and organization, and deliver live and online workshops and conferences
