Career/Life Transitions and Professional Development Coaching
Do you have trouble building relationships with prospective and current customers? Are you unsure of how to build your brand and successfully market your products or services – and yourself? Are you wrestling with finding the always elusive “work/life balance?”
Do you want to know your ideas, plans, and objectives are solid and will actually work? Do you need help clarifying your vision, mission, and objectives?
If any of these descriptions fit you, I’ve been where you are and I can help.
“With Steve’s knowledge and expertise, I was able to gain the confidence and the tools necessary to see my vision. Steve is the person to help.” – D.C.
What You Need to Know
I’ve experienced all of the above as well as the ins and outs of a career in a big corporation. I’ve been an award winning drummer, a senior executive, a small business owner, and a coach and consultant. I’m a certified Life Coach, facilitator for the Dale Carnegie organization, and graduate of many professional development programs.
I’ll give you what you need to know:
- We’ll work together to determine what really matters to you. Most business and career failures are caused by unclear personal goals. We will avoid this fate.
- We’ll uncover how God made you with your specific needs, wants, ideas, and skills. You’ll have a solid understanding of your strengths and your purpose as well as awareness of weaknesses and blind spots. This is a critical and often overlooked aspect of personal development that forms the foundation for confidence.
- We’ll make sure that your business/career goals align with your personal goals so they can be sustained for a lifetime. We’ll make sure your work supports a life worth living.
- I’ll give you communication tools and coaching so you can have the impact and influence you need to accomplish your goals. Here’s your first tip: everything in business is personal.
- We’ll create a concrete plan that covers objectives, competitors, branding, marketing, milestones, and action steps.
Though we’ll follow a step-by-step plan, we’ll work collaboratively to address your specific needs and wants at your pace.
“Steve has no problems talking about and making you think about the issues/problems your rose colored glasses might not let you see.” – R.P.
What to Expect
Each of your sessions will last between 75 and 90 minutes each. This is twice as long as the industry norm. This extra time allows us to dive deeper each time and make faster progress towards your goals.
To prepare for your first appointment, I’ll send you a Client Form and an Intake Form. Fill them out and bring them with you when we meet. We’ll spend that session getting to know one another and discussing your story, current concerns, and goals. I’ll also give you a workbook and have you take a temperament assessment.
During our second session, we will discuss your Temperament Assessment results. This will give you tremendous insight into how you are designed to respond to and interact with the people and the world around you. It will give you permission to be you and uncover gaps that cause communication misses and unmet needs and wants. This will help you make immediate changes to begin closing these gaps. You can learn more about this assessment here.
In subsequent sessions, we’ll discuss different aspects of your life and career – past, present, and desired future – as well as your responses in the workbook. We’ll explore everything mentioned above and build your tool kit of skills, tips, and mindsets week to week.
