Are You Feeling Invisible, Unheard, and Unable to Find Your Way?
Are you overwhelmed with doubt, insecurities, and fears?
Do you endlessly compare yourself to other women?
Do you wonder what life might be like if you were free from shame and self-hatred?
Are you struggling with identity, purpose, and self worth?
These are common issues for women today. We are living in a hyper-comparative, hyper-beauty, and overly sexualized culture. The never ending messages to women are mixed at best and destructive at worst. Add in family, relationships, and communication challenges and it becomes clear why many, many women struggle with self-worth.
You Are Not Alone
I know how you feel, I have felt the same ways but have found what can help. Women’s worth counseling is effective in helping you develop confidence, boundaries, and effective communication skills. As a licensed Christian and Advanced Temperament Counselor, I have helped women like you gain a deep understanding of their personal worth, value, and purpose. They have learned to stand up and be counted and you can, too.
What to Expect
My main goal is to offer comfort and hope. We will discuss and process issues, challenges, and questions together and without any fear of judgement. I will listen empathetically and help you learn about and understand your thoughts and feelings.
To prepare for your first appointment, I’ll send you a Client Form and an Intake Form. Note that our sessions will last between 75 and 90 minutes each. This is twice as long as most counselors meet. I’ve found the extra time creates a more relaxed and more beneficial time together.
When we meet for your first appointment, be sure to bring your completed forms. We’ll spend this session getting to know one another and discussing your story, current concerns, and goals. I’ll also have you take a temperament profile assessment.
During our second session, we will discuss your temperament assessment results. You will learn a tremendous amount about how you have been responding to and interacting with the world your entire life. You’ll also begin to learn ways to use this information for your future and ongoing health and well being.
Throughout our sessions together you’ll gain insights and information as well as tools you can immediately put to use. You’ll learn what triggers good emotions and what triggers bad. You’ll also understand and learn to control the thoughts and attitudes triggered by these emotions.
We’ll also explore communication, relationship, and boundary issues from all sides. This will help you better recognize lies and truth. You’ll also know what can be controlled and give up trying to control everything – or everyone – else.
Counseling is A Mirror
If all of this gives you hope, it may also make you nervous. I understand that counseling can be a scary word, but I have a question for you: do you check how you look in the mirror before you leave your home for the day? Of course you do, we all do.
Counseling is a mirror for your insides. I promise I will hold the mirror – and your heart – carefully. It is my greatest honor and responsibility to help you as much as I can. We will discover what’s going on inside together and you will be surprised at the progress you will make.
